The Woodpecker Handpiece (WP632) is an electo-mechanical NDT tap test system for the quality control and testing of metal bonded, composite and sandwich components. It eliminates the human error factor associated with the traditional coin tap test and is: efficient, simple to operate and can be used in any working environment.

 The battery operated WP632 with its variable tapping speed employs a central processing chip (CPU) to comparatively evaluate the output of a force sensor attached to the hammer. The quantified evaluation is indicated in graduation on the light emitting diode (LED) display. In addition, the position & shape of core material can be checked by scanning in the insert mode.

Woodpecker WP-632M Monitor

This monitoring unit, available as an option, when connected to Woodpecker WP-632, shows the measured values both digitally and in a bar-graph, and memorises them. It is provided with a connector for data transmission to a personal computer when required.
